Summer Concert Series Has Been Cancelled Due to Covid-19
Every Monday Evening at 7:00 pm
in July and August
What: Free Summer Concerts
Where: Wahby Park on Jefferson just South of Ten Mile Rd.
When: Every Monday Evening during July and August at 7:00 pm
The Macomb Chamber Music Society has been partnered with Shorewood Kiwanis since 2009.
The Shorewood Kiwanis 50th Anniversary celebration gifted The Summer Concert Series to the City of Saint Clair Shores. They believe that service and education to our children and community is a number one priority.
For 10 years, Shorewood Kiwanis has donated this event series for residents of the community who serve us so well – an event – where Mom and Dad and their children can come to listen and delight in a fine music performance for the “right price” (Free). Please continue to attend, enjoy, and support this unique experience.
Shorewood partnered with the Macomb Chamber Music Society (MCMS) to provide a concert series in the city park that was obviously built for chamber music performance. Being Kiwanis, our main requirement was the involvement of at least one student musician in (almost) every concert without it becoming a “kiddie show.” Studies show that musicians make the best scholars and Kiwanis is all for that!
The business community has financially supported the concert series by purchasing advertising in our program booklet, and our concert-goers have supported the business community with their dollars. These relationships will help to maintain this concert series for many years. The Shorewood Kiwanis is proud and excited to help provide this Summer Concert Series to our community. We are very lucky that the MCMS agreed to partner with us. But, in reality, this series belongs to the community. The Partners have a long-term commitment to the Series but realize that the support of our concert-goers is vital to the success of these fine concerts.
